More than a headshot

A portrait can mark who you are now.

Some clients want a personal milestone photographed. Others want a stronger professional portrait, a creative editorial look, a confidence reset or simply photographs they genuinely like of themselves.

GLOZA plans the lighting, styling, pace and direction around the result you want rather than placing every client into the same studio formula.

The portrait process

Designed before the shutter is pressed.

01

Discover

Define the purpose of the portrait, how you want to be seen and what you want to avoid.

02

Style

Choose an airy, editorial, monochrome, warm or cinematic direction and plan wardrobe and location.

03

Light

Build flattering light around the face and body rather than relying on a generic lighting position.

04

Direct

Receive clear guidance for posture, hands, expression and small body-angle changes throughout the session.

05

Finish

Select favourites privately and agree professional retouching that keeps texture and character believable.

Portrait directions

Choose the feeling before choosing the pose.

EDITORIAL

Clean

Controlled colour, crisp detail and a polished magazine-inspired finish.

FINE ART

Timeless

Shape, expression, monochrome options and restrained professional retouching.

BEAUTY

Luminous

Soft, flattering light with careful attention to skin tone, eyes, hair and detail.

Leicester portrait photography

Based locally. Not limited to a fixed studio.

GLOZA is based in Leicester and works across Leicestershire, the Midlands and throughout the UK. Portraits can be created at a client home, an agreed hotel or private venue, a hired studio, an outdoor location or another setting suited to the concept.

Location, travel, privacy and setup requirements are discussed before a full session is confirmed.

Common questions

What if I am uncomfortable in front of a camera?

01

Do I have to know how to pose?

No. Direction is part of the service, from posture and hands through to expression and movement.

02

Can this be professional as well as personal?

Yes. Portraits can be created for personal branding, creative identity or professional use while retaining the GLOZA style.

03

Will my skin be over-retouched?

The goal is refinement rather than plastic skin. Temporary blemishes, tone and distractions can be corrected while believable texture remains.
